Partner Integration

This section describes how to connect a partner system to SHIGOTO.

Components

SHIGOTO consists of several components:

• Shigoto Sensor is the software installed on the user's computer. The Shigoto Sensor communicates with the Shigoto Hub. It is distributed as a setup package.
• Shigoto Hub is the central management component of SHIGOTO. It receives and interprets the reports sent by the Shigoto Sensors. The Shigoto Hub holds the information about all workstations and their occupancy.

Integration process

Connecting SHIGOTO to a partner system is a two-sided process:

The partner implements the required API functions and decides on their own how to process the information that flows through these API functions.

The partner then provides the SHIGOTO team with their API functions and an API key. The SHIGOTO team stores this information in the Shigoto Hub, which completes the integration and makes it ready for use.

The integration consists of three parts:

1. Reporting Sensor Status — the partner API that Shigoto calls whenever the occupancy of a workstation changes.
2. Activating the Sensor — the one-time activation of a Shigoto Sensor for a user of the partner system.
3. Linking Workstations — the one-time pairing of physical workstations with the digital workstations of the partner system.

Changes since 05/2026

• In Reporting Sensor Status, response: the fields no longer carry the …Id suffix, since no id is transmitted there.
• In Reporting Sensor Status, response (version 2.3): new optional field capacity; bookings may be sent one by one, even if they overlap.
• In Activating the Sensor, the parameters passed to Activate.html have been adjusted.
• In Linking Workstations, the parameters passed to Link.html have been adjusted.
